WHAT THE FANS ARE SAYING
Despite Arsenal finishing the campaign with no silverware, Arteta bagged the Best Premier League Coach prize at the Globe Soccer awards. Fans, however, did not spare the Spaniard as they mocked him on social media.
An X account named Jack Bartlett pointed out that the Gunners did not win anything in the 2023/24 season. "Came 2nd & won nothing….. Interesting."
An Everton fan wrote, "Arsenal getting sympathy awards now."
An account named ishowsloww said: "Pep won the league. Had more points. More big chances created. More goals. More shots. Better by almost every metric. But we know it’s a pity award to compensate Arteta."
Hansen wrote: "Best Premier League coach without a trophy? This Globe soccer award is a big joke."
