Djurgarden's sporting director has confirmed that Barcelona have been in "dialogue" with the Swedish club about signing prodigy Lucas Bergvall.

Barcelona have been linked with the 17-year-old Swede but Manchester United, Inter, Rennes and more are also reportedly keeping tabs on the midfielder. Now, Andersson has confirmed the Spanish giants have been in contact about the Swedish Under-21 international but stressed it is "not a negotiation yet".

He told Swedish publication : "Yes, I can confirm that we have been in contact and in dialogue with Barcelona. But it's not a negotiation yet. There was some contact with Barcelona last week but this week we haven't spoken to them."

Bergvall is seen as one of Sweden's brightest young talents and a move to the mighty Barcelona would add credence to that view. He still has 18 months left on his contract and if he does go the Swedish side will try to get a good fee for him but when a club like Barca comes along it may be too good an opportunity to turn down.
